Biografía:

Avantasia es un megagrupo con estilos de Ópera NeoClásica infuenciada notablemente por el power metal tradicional de los países nórdicos, formada por Tobias Sammet, vocalista y líder de la banda de hard rock/heavy metal/power metal/classic metal Edguy. El nombre de este proyecto es una mezcla de dos palabras: Ávalon y Fantasía "y describe un mundo más allá de la imaginación humana". Este proyecto, inicialmente, consiste en dos CDs de 23 piezas, en el que cuenta una historia ficticia de un monje dominico, Gabriel, en el año 1602.
